The former Austrian master's programme (Diplomstudiengang) "Banking and Finance" is transformed and split into a six-semester bachelor's programme and a three-semester master's programme.
Basel II is introduced as a research focus.

2004/05
The FH bfi Vienna is the first Austrian institution that offers a further education programme pursuant to § 14a FHStG (Universities of Applied Sciences Act): "Academic Auditor at the Court of Auditors".
As the first university of applied sciences in Austria, the FH bfi Vienna publishes an intellectual capital report.

2005
The Diploma Supplement Label is awarded by the European Commission.

2006
As the only Austrian university, the Fh bfi Vienna receives the ECTS-Label .
The FH celebrates its tenth anniversary.
The second research focus "Regional Competition and Regions" is established.

2006/07
All former Austrian master's programmes are changed into bachelor/master programmes. Master's degree programmes are only offered part-time.

2007/08
Start of the bachelor's degree programme "Technical Distribution Management"

2008/09
Start of the bachelor's degree programme "Work Design and HR-Management“

2009
The Diploma Supplement Label and the ECTS-Labels are awarded by the EU.
Start of the master's degree programme "Quantitative Asset and Risk Management".
