About ESN

At our institution, ESN was founded as a section to improve the life of the exchange students. Our section members cooperate very well with the exchange students to make this happen. We are organising some events and meetings with other universities and their exchange students. Besides we are also planning some parties and nightlife activities.

Buddy System

Buddies are students at our university, who assist International students during their exchange. You should know that they do not get paid for this. They do it in their spare time! Their motivation is to get to learn more about your culture, to improve their language skills and to have fun with you! Ideally, this starts when you arrive in Vienna and continues until the end of semester. They assist you to get used to the new environment and help you through teething troubles.

After your arrival in Vienna, your Buddy can pick you up at the airport or train station and accompany you to your new apartment. But you have to contact your Buddy at least two weeks in advance and tell him/her in detail, when and where he/she shall pick you up and where you will stay, so that he /she gets the keys.
